I find it interesting when people say they don't believe in God and yet blaspheme when angry or through simple conversation. These same people tend to think of us, who do believe in God, as some sort of weirdo. Strange.
We are currently in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is, for some non-believers, a time when they turn to God for help. If a loved one is seriously ill or dying, they have nowhere to turn for help and usually make Him their first call. I can't speak for God, but I'm pretty sure He answers their prayers accordingly. Jesus said, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (Matthew 21:22) Many prayers of mine have been undeniably answered. Some have not been answered in the way I had hoped, but I accept this. Often when prayers are not answered people will just give up. However, the outcome of my 'ask' not being answered, in the first instant, is quite remarkable. I look back at what I asked of God and then smile, because it nearly always works out better than what I had prayed and hoped for, in the first place. His will be done.
Jesus also said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and your will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7). God knows what you need before you ask him. Jesus said, This, is how you should pray:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
When you pray, you must believe that God will help you.
If everyone 'loved', the world would be a much happier and safer place. But it isn't, and more importantly it was never meant to be, but that's another story. Being a Christian isn't easy because I am a human and I'm flawed. I get angry and frustrated etc. However, keeping God close to me in my every day life not only brings me happiness, but steers me in the right direction. He quells my anger and frustrations.
That's it for now. I'd love to hear from you if you have any questions or comments.
