What Would God Say? - BLM-ALM

Updated: Sep 23, 2023

It's been another dismal week at the hands of humanity. Protests across the globe have unfolded after another black American died at the hands of a white American policeman.

On Saturday, 6 June, what started off as a peaceful protest ended in anarchy. A group of seasoned rioters ran amok, which left a lot of people seriously injured and otherwise.

My own opinion is that 'All Lives Matter'. God made man and we are all his children. I'm ashamed to say, what an absolute mess man has made of the gift that God has given us...life.

As the world is now, I sometimes think 'the end' must be drawing near. However, Jesus tells us, "....watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name claiming, 'I am the Christ.' You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Matthew 24:4)

I will leave you with this passage, which I personally find beautiful. "(Jesus said) I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you let me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. The righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we do these things for you?' Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."(Matthew 25:35-41)
